Terms of service
These terms cover every order placed on donecut.com. By paying a deposit you agree to them.
The service
You upload footage and choose a product. We edit it using AI editing tools and automated quality checks, with a person reviewing any edit that doesn't pass those checks. You get a watermarked preview, and then the clean files once the order is paid in full.
Price and payment
- The price is calculated from the length of the footage you upload and is shown before you pay.
- You pay 50% to start. The rest is due when you approve the preview. Add-ons chosen at approval are paid in full then.
- If the footage we receive is much longer than the footage that was priced, we'll contact you before editing.
Changes and refunds
- Each order includes 2 rounds of changes to the preview. A change adjusts the edit you received. A new concept, new footage or a different product counts as a new order.
- If we can't deliver an edit for your order, we refund your deposit in full.
- Once you've approved an edit and downloaded the clean files, the order is complete.
Your content
- You keep all rights to your footage and to the finished video.
- You confirm you have the right to use everything you upload, and that it isn't illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringing anyone's rights. We may cancel and refund orders that break this.
- We use your files only to make your edit. We delete raw footage 30 days after delivery, and we delete unpaid uploads after 48 hours.
Timing
Time estimates are based on the live queue and aren't guarantees. If an edit is delayed, your order page and email will tell you.
